Thomas H. Wang, MD FACC

Expert Cardiac Care

Dr. Thomas H. Wang graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine internship and residency at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Wang finished his general cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic where he served as Chief Fellow. Dr. Wang then completed his Interventional Cardiology training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 2007, Dr. Wang was awarded the Irving Dawson award at the Cleveland Clinic for clinical excellence. He was a partner at Cardiac Associates, PC prior to founding Maryland Cardiac Care, LLC. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons,  being in nature, and cooking for family and friends.

Xiumei Zhao,
Nurse Practitioner

Xiumei Zhao, NP initially graduated from Peking Union Medical College and completed her residency in Peking Union Medical College Hospital (Beijing Xiehe Hospital) in Beijing, China. After moving to the US, she worked as a nurse and charge nurse in the cardiac step down unit at White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. She then graduated from the nurse practitioner program in the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She joined Maryland Cardiac Care, LLC in July 2023. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Dianna Brown,
Nurse Practitioner

Dianna graduated from Montgomery College’s nursing program in 2012 and began her career in Holy Cross Hospital’s cardiac step down unit. She then worked in outpatient cardiology and eventually earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Frostburg State University. She remained in outpatient cardiology as a nurse while she completed her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner studies in 2023. She has also volunteered with the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department since 2010 as an EMT. Dianna started with Maryland Cardiac Care in March 2024.
